Hyperthyroidism is a common disorder of the endocrine system most commonly found in middle aged to older cats. This happens when there is an excess amount of thyroid hormones produced, and this causes an increase in metabolic rate.

How It Works

Methimazole prevents the production of the thyroid hormones T3 and T4 that occur in excess in hyperthyroidism in cats.

Storage

Keep tablets in a tightly sealed container at room temperature.

Warning

If you miss a dose, give the dose as soon as possible. If it is nearing the time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your pet's regular schedule. Do not give your pet two doses at once.
