Description
K-BROVET™ Chewable Tablets are now French Vanilla flavored tablets containing 250 mg or 500 mg of potassium bromide and cyanocobalamin. K-BroVet is used as the sole anticonvulsant for dogs that cannot tolerate anticonvulsants that affect the liver and can be used in conjunction with phenobarbital therapy, based on individual patient responses and needs.
Dosage & Administration
For a loading dose to achieve a serum level of approximately 1 mg/mL, give 120 mg/kg PO daily for 5 days and then reduce to 30 mg/kg PO once daily. To achieve a serum level of approximately 1.5 mg/ML, give 160 mg/kg PO for 5 days and then reduce to 40 mg/kg PO once daily thereafter.
