Safe-Guard Paste is given orally to horses. Refer to package insert for instructions and indications for treatment. Under conditions of continued exposure to parasites, retreatment may be needed after 6-8 weeks. There are no known contraindications to the use of the drug in horses.
Administration and Dosage
Safe-Guard® (fenbendazole) Paste is given orally. The dose is 5 mg fenbendazole/kg (2.3 mg/lb) or 11.5 g Safe-Guard® (fenbendazole) Paste. One syringe will deworm a 1,100 pound horse.

dairy cattle. Refer to package insert for instructions and indications
for treatment. Under conditions of continued exposure to parasites,
retreatment may be needed after 4-6 weeks.
There are no known contraindications to the use of the drug in cattle. For dairy cattle, there is no milk withdrawal period.
