Description

Safe-Guard® (fenbendazole) Paste 10% is a powerful dewormer formulated to eliminate a wide range of internal parasites in beef and dairy cattle. This fast-acting treatment targets lungworms, stomach worms, and intestinal worms, helping maintain overall health and productivity in your herd.

Dosage and Administration

Each 290 g syringe effectively treats up to 12,000 lbs of cattle. One syringe provides enough paste to deworm four cattle weighing 1,000 lbs each.

The recommended dosage is 2.3 mg/lb (5 mg/kg) of body weight, or 11.5 g of Safe-Guard® Paste per 500 lb animal. Accurate dosing based on body weight is essential to ensure effectiveness and prevent parasite resistance.

 

Storage and Handling

Store at or below 77°F (25°C) to maintain potency and effectiveness.

Withdrawal Guidelines

  • Cattle treated with Safe-Guard® Paste must not be slaughtered for at least 8 days.
  • Milk from treated dairy cattle must be discarded for 96 hours following administration.
  • Not intended for use in beef calves younger than 2 months, dairy calves, or veal calves.
