Farmina Vet Life Urinary ST Management Canine Dog Food supports dogs who develop struvite uroliths. It may help to prevent those stones from forming and may help to dissolve existing stones. The food features reduced fiber, so it’s easier for your dog to digest. That reduced fiber also helps to limit fecal water loss. Consider feeding this diet to help dissolve stones, then follow up with the Farmina Vet Life Urinary ST Management diet (sold separately) to prevent your pup from forming them again.

Transition Instructions

Unless your Veterinarian has told you otherwise, when switching your pet to a Farmina diet from a different food, we suggest making the transition over 10 Days. From days 1 to 3 we recommend feeding 75% of the old food and 25% of the new food. From days 4 to 6 feed 50% old and 50% new. From days 7 to 9 feed 25% old and 75% new. Finally, on day 10 you can start exclusively feeding the new food.

Mineral Additives 

Nutritional additives: Vitamin A 3800IU; Vitamin D3 150IU; Vitamin E 150mg; zinc chelate of the analogous methionine hydroxylase 240mg; manganese chelate of the analogous methionine hydroxylase 100mg; ferrous chelate of glycine hydrate 50mg; copper chelate of the analogous methionine hydroxylase 11mg; selenized yeast inactivated 17mg; calcium iodate anhydrous 0.6mg; DLmethionine 1750mg; taurine 1000mg. Urine acidifier: calcium sulphate dihydrate 3000mg.

Instructions For Use

It is recommended that a veterinarian’s opinion be sought before use. Recommended length of time: 5 to 12 weeks in case of dissolution of struvite stones; up to 6 months in case of reduction of struvite stone recurrence. Serve the product as it is, at room temperature, following the daily quantity indicated in the table. The daily quantity can change according to breed, environment, physical exercise, temperament and the seriousness of the illness. The ration can be divided into two daily meals or more. It is recommended to mix initially this product with the previously used diet. Water should be available at all times.
