Description

Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker commonly used to manage high blood pressure and reduce protein loss through the kidneys in both cats and dogs.

Safety Information 

Telmisartan should not be used in patients who are dehydrated, have low blood pressure, have had an allergic reaction to it or similar drugs (such as candesartan, irbesartan, olmesartan, telmisartan, valsartan), or who are pregnant. Use this medication with caution in patients with severe liver problems. Inform your veterinarian and pharmacist about any other medications, including vitamins, supplements, or herbal therapies, your animal is taking, as other drugs can interact with Telmisartan. Keep this medication away from children and other animals; it is not for human consumption.
