Nobivac Puppy-Dv Vaccine

Description

NOBIVAC® Puppy-DPv has been shown to be effective for vaccination against canine distemper virus and canine parvovirus. Recommended for use in healthy dogs 4 weeks of age or older.

-The only canine core vaccine labeled for use in puppies as young as 4 weeks of age
-Initial 1 mL dose given by subcutaneous or intramuscular route to healthy dogs as early as 4 weeks of age
-Repeat dose 3 to 4 weeks later. Two doses are required for primary immunization.
-Historically, annual revaccination has been recommended for this product. The need for this booster has not been established. For more information on revaccination frequency, in general or in the face of maternal antibody, consult your veterinarian or the manufacturer.
-Available in a 25 x 1 mL dose presentation

Instructions

1. Combine the sterile diluent with the Nobivac Puppy-DPv vial under aseptic conditions. Mix gently until fully dissolved.
2. Inject 1 mL either subcutaneously or intramuscularly.
3. The initial dose can be given from 4 weeks of age, with a second dose required 3 to 4 weeks later for complete initial immunization.

Additional Information

Maternal antibodies can impact vaccine effectiveness, potentially requiring extra boosters for young dogs.

Storage and Usage

Keep between 2°C and 8°C (35°F - 46°F).

• Avoid freezing.
• Use new, sterile needles and syringes.
• Do not mix with other vaccines unless instructed.
• Dispose of any unused vaccine properly.
• If exposed to humans, seek medical advice.

 

Warnings:

 

• Contains gentamicin as a preservative.
• Vaccinate only healthy, non-parasitized dogs.
• Do not vaccinate pregnant bitches.
• The use of a biological product may produce anaphylaxis and/or other inflammatory immune-mediated hypersensitivity reactions. Antidote: Epinephrine, corticosteroids, and antihistamines may all be indicated depending on the nature and severity of the reaction.
• The age at which maternal antibody for canine parvovirus no longer interferes with the development of active immunity varies according to the bitch’s titer and quantity of colostral antibodies absorbed by the puppy.
